The student of 5th grade of Auckland Medical University - Guarav Mrinal Sharma is successfully conducting the 2 months practical training at the Neurological Department of State Central Hospital No. 1 by contacting with us through the Web site of our association. Our department’s doctors had warmly welcomed Mr. Gaurav Mrinal Sharma and are cordially exchanging the knowledge and experience from the neurological field and he is acquiring the wide scaled knowledge from this training.

During the training, he is being engaged and trained on the cases of patients with different interesting diagnosis both from neurological and emergency departments of our hospital.

1.On October 9th we done seminar on the topic of “The management of stroke” which involved total 100 doctors from all district hospitals of UB. On the seminar there were introduced guideline of World Stroke Day and distributed sufficient materials.

2. Following the guidelines from WSO we have received all brochures, posters and copied, distributed as required.

3. We have done curriculum on World Stroke Day and introduced to Ministry of Health, specialist of noninfectious disease, health specialist of Millennium Development Agency and Head of Mongolian Red Cross and collaboration work was done with Cherian Varghese (M.D, Ph.D)who is technical officer of WHO (Western Pacific Region) for noncommunicable diseases .

4. On October 27th we organized training seminar on “Stroke, what can I do” dividing into several working groups and discussed about how to run prevention from stroke and required care on stroke.

5. On October 29th (WSD) we organized several activities among people: checking blood pressure level, distributing brochures, giving wheelchairs to disabled people from stroke and medicine (simvastin) for reduce blood cholesterol level and an advice for healthy diet etc. On Mongolian National Television we organized small media symposium on the topic of "Stroke,what can I do" which involved 10 correspondents. On TV was giving advice about how to reduce stroke risk factors.
